Product Description

"The Heart of a Warrior delivers a much needed message to men!" - John Eldredge

Men have a glorious and significant role in God’s Larger Story. They also are the target of a special warfare aimed continually and ruthlessly at the center of their being… their masculine hearts. Naivety and ignorance keep many men running in circles while misinformation and poor training keep many more in bondage. Men are wounded, frustrated, angry and being crushed under the weight of criticism and expectations. The attempted solutions of recent years is education; tell men what they are doing wrong and give them a list to memorize. This strategy isn’t working and its time we fall back to an Ancient One. What if we are setting men up for failure rather than helping them be free? Join author and guide, Michael Thompson, as he invites men to a place of training and orientation that will ensure both a settled heart and a fierce courage. A man cannot enter this battle without knowing he is a Beloved Son. After all, that is what the battle is all about!

    Can't stop underlining

Posted by Meghan on Oct 28th 2021

Usually I go through books quickly. And often I don't mark them up in case I pass them on. But this book I'm taking slowly and marking in it at least once a page. It's a guide, a manual, and a community that work together by men and for men to help us heal from the past and move into the future as warriors for the Kingdom of light. Buy it and start plugging into the Exploring More podcasts and allow yourself to become a crucial part of the kingdom.

    Changed my life!

Posted by Holly Kerr on Oct 28th 2021

I am so blessed that I was able to be apart of a group that read this and shared it with, so many men. I would have to say after ready this book the second time through I truly saw what MT was telling me. I would challenge any man out there to read this book and ask yourself one thing: do you understand how much God Loves You. I would also suggest finding a friend or two to read the book with and share your story!

    Read this book right now!

Posted by Eric Hammond on Oct 28th 2021

Any man who wants to experience more freedom in Jesus Christ needs to read this book! It is a significant road map to healing wounds that lay deep within each of us. If you have hit a roadblock in your spiritual walk, the same old religious tasks just arent working, and you are wondering what the next step could possibly be I would highly recommend this book. Deeply rooted in the word of God the heart of the warrior is powerful and impactful. Read this book sooner rather than later! I only wish I had had this information much much earlier.

Discover Your the Heart God Gave You as a Man

Posted by Darrell Amy on Oct 28th 2021

Heart of Warrior takes a deep dive into the core of masculinity. Michael Thompson goes directly to the heart of the matter: am I living as a beloved son? He takes men on a critical journey of healing and identity. This book is powerful. The ideas are practical and potent. I love the concept of redemptive brotherhood. I highly recommend this book to men who want to get to the core of why they are frustrated with life and discover their true calling.

Outstanding text on recovering the masculine heart!!!

    Posted by garcia_91 on Oct 28th 2021

I found this book to be a go to resource in my journey as a man. This isn't a book to read and put on a shelf to collect dust...AND, it is NOT a book on religion. It is a book written to help shed the veils we have placed between us and the real Jesus Christ. I needs read with a pen and highlighter...an open mind and open heart. It asks important questions...what's going on under the hood in a man's life? Why do we act a certain way? Why can't we seem to give up overeating, or buying things we don't need or ________ ? The Heart of a Warrior, will help guide a man towards better understanding of his own heart and the hearts of others...and hopefully to a place of wholeheartedness. It has for me and I pray it will for you as well.

    A Must Read!

Posted by Greg in Dayton on Oct 28th 2021

We read and discussed this book in our men's group at church and I was hooked on page 1! Never has a book on spirituality met me where I was and then took me on an unexpected and revealing journey into the deep and sometimes dark crannies of my heart and soul. If you are trying to make sense of what's going on in your personal world, and at the same time trying to figure out what God has in store for you, then buy this book. It was a life changer for me.

    God's Warrior basic training

Posted by Gael Roland on Oct 28th 2021

Michael Thompson does a fantastic job bringing together biblical and fictional quotes to bring the heart of the warrior out in every follower of Christ who is in fear of being exposed as that hero in waiting. As a retired MEDEVAC Pilot and Firefighter/Paramedic I have been through much warrior training and see this as a true training manual for those in search of their true heart.

    Clarity..Understanding..Interpretation

Posted by Vickie Tessener on Oct 28th 2021

In 'Heart of a Warrior', I found language that spoke to aspects of my life that needed interpretation. I found words, stories and illustrations that felt familiar. Themes that helped to answer questions that I previously didn't know to ask. There were areas of my life that I needed to be awakened to, made aware of. Have you ever started off in a direction that you felt reasonably confident would lead to where you wanted to go? But you miss a turn or make a wrong turn..hazards, accidents, even distractions, cause detours that lead to unintended destinations. And then the question , How did I get here? Heart of a Warrior helps to answer that question. It did for me. but even more importantly, how to move forward. Read it.. Read it soon.. Let it help guide you as early in the journey as possible.

Encourage you like nothing Ive read to date

Posted by Troy Mangum on Oct 28th 2021

Michael's writing carries his DNA to see Men healed, restored, empowered and set free in the mission God has for them. I have had a front row seat to the lives these truths in this book have impacted over the last 6yrs. I am one of them! I have seen the truths found in this book transform a community of men with each other, within their homes, at their work places, creating an authentic and rare 'band of brothers'. The truth about the true nature of the Christian's heart after being born again had a major impact on my personally. I studied over 1,500 scriptures on the heart to verify what Michael was laying out was true. It is backed by scripture and is just one truth found in this book that has the power to transform you in a way that will last. The book is not for the faint but for the hungry and brave. It will confront, reveal, encourage you like nothing Ive read to date. It will likely take time to soak in and pursue but it is well worth the investment because it will yield a life time of fruit. Thank you Michael for the life your live and putting your heart into these pages for others to join you in the glorious journey we all take toward our amazingly loving, strong, courageous God.

Become the beloved son; become the warrior - great resource

Posted by John Warren on Oct 28th 2021

I've ready many, many books on biblical manhood. Quite a few of them are helpful, others not. This book provides me with tools I need to discover, determine, deal with attitudes/hurts/wounds that have been dealing with me, and driving me. In a very short time after starting the book, and the companion workbook, my family has already witnessed changes in my behavior and awareness of my heavenly father.

Posted by Mark White on Oct 28th 2021

This book changed the trajectory of my life. I’ve read it at least 5 times now. I get more out of it each time. I’m learning how to live, love, and relate to others with nothing to fear, nothing to hide and nothing to prove.

    Wide Eyed Wonder

Posted by Greg Sailors on Oct 28th 2021

Remember when you were a kiddo? Think back to 4 or 5. Did you have that Wide Eyed Wonder of the world and people around you? What caught your attention? Did Uncle Randal sneak and extra piece of pie or did Aunt Sally always cry when Grandpaw told that story? Maybe you were drawn in by the neighbors 3 wheeler, Gi-Joes or going fishing with your dad! I remember that Wide Eyed Wonder. As I read The Heart of a Warrior: Before You Can Become the Warrior, You Must Become the Beloved Son, I have that Wide Eyed Wonder. Michael Thompson does a masterful job at drawing your heart into those places of belovedness. This is not just another "rah rah" book about masculinity all the problems with it, but a journey into the heart to connect with the Heavenly Father’s Heart for you as a person. Do we need training? Sure! Do we need healing? Certainly! The Heart of a Warrior deals with all those things. However, if we miss that we are the apple of God’s eyes, His favorite, His Beloved then we are missing one of the most crucial parts of our journey with Christ. This book will lead you into Wide Eyed Wonder. I hope you’ll journey through and come out on the other end The Beloved Son with a Heart of a Warrior!
